As stated in earlier posts, we were pestered by mosquitoes at night while the day shift was that of the horse flies. We actually had ten of them encircling us at any given time during the day. For one reason or another they didn't land while we pedaled, but it was still somewhat distressing just having them buzz around.
When entering Jyskyjärvi we met this cool dog who expertly caught the nasty critters in its powerful jaws! This was a dog we would be happy to bring along with us on any given bike journey!
