Our plan was to hitch a ride with Taito to the next village the next day. One reason was that the village we were headed to was unreachable by road from our direction. At least that's what we had heard. Thus we had to put the boat in the water and let it swell there for the night.
Looking at it I must confess to having some doubts as to whether we would be able to fit all of our gear and bikes into it. But I let those worries go for the moment being. It was just plain fun working with the man.
Oh, did I mention he himself built the boat in the pictures? (Actually around three hundred of them to date!)
