Staying for the night

Our one and only demand for the campsite was that it had to be in close vicinity of water. Which in these parts isn't that tall of an order, as the entire area is covered with small lakes and rivers.

Only after pitching the tent did we discover that the closeness of the road had it's downside. Apparently the small path was used as a makeshift toilet for drivers in need of relief as well. We moved our tent slightly more down the narrow path away from the excrement and hoped that the direction of the wind would not change during the night.

As one goes on adventures like this it is good to remember that not every day will be pleasant and not every campsite will be perfect. But the next one could well be. And that keeps us going!
