In 2008 we couldn't wait for the endless German roads to lead us to the French border, tired off all the low-cost supermarkets that are never open when you're at your hungriest (on Sundays). This time we enjoyed Germany much more, possibly because we visited more vegetarian-friendly areas, met many friends and also took some days off.
So we had some mixed feelings when when rolled onto the ferry Kronprins Fredrik in Rostock and off again in Gedser, Denmark. A new country where we've never cycled before - a bit scary, but in a good way!
