If you are going to a place you have never been to before it's always a good idea to find someone who already has gone there. The troublesome part of course is finding that person. But by pure chance (isn't it always by chance?) Kaisa had run into an real expert on Viena Karelia at a discussion about sustainability at city hall.
We've found it easy to lure in people with a promise of a warm meal – it's a technique we've perfected and frequently employed in order to benefit from the knowledge of those wiser than us.
And this time cooking really paid off! We got so many invaluable tips and suggestions that they will serve us for many voyages.
